Bill Gates' First Reaction to the iPod in 2001; Great iPod Article

"Have you seen this yet?" I asked. Gates went into a zone that recalls those science fiction films where a space alien, confronted with a novel object, creates some sort of force tunnel between him and the object...Gates' fingers, racing at Nascar speed, played over the scroll wheel and pushed every button combination; "It's only for Macintosh?"

Gizmondo:Touchscreen iPod coming in November

"Apple's upcoming iPod will make its debut this November and will definitely feature a touchscreen, Gizmodo has learned. Let's just say that we have a couple of people fairly high up the Apple food chain who have made it known that the iPod's touchscreen is truly the bee's knees. Apple is also apparently working its tail off to make sure that the planned November launch of the new iPod will still happen.

Our super secret sources didn't reveal any information regarding the iPod's rumored wireless capabilities, however.

Oh, and those pictures? Those were supplied by a fine reader of ours, Samuel Mularczyk. Supposedly, they were found on Apple's Web site. Granted, they pictures do read "iPhone," but no one ever said that the iPod and iPhone won't be one in the same, right? (But yes, it could just be another silly mock up.) – Nicholas Deleon "

Why I don't want Windows on a Mac: I want OS X on a PC.

But, wait—what if Apple offered the opposite deal? Instead of a disk that allows you to boot Windows on a Mac, what about a disk that lets you boot OS X on any Intel-powered PC? I don't want Windows on a Mac. I want OS X on a PC.

The chances of Apple supporting OS X on any pc are slim because Apple makes more money from the hardware they sell than their software and also if they did ever people would eventually stop buying them because it removes the exclusivity that Apple has always had.

iPod Advertisement From Space

The ad, which depicts Apple's flagship iPod product has been constructed on the site of an abandoned mineral mine in remote western Australia. It has been in development for almost two years since Apple's founder Steve Jobs aquired the location during a game of poker with (the late) Australian publishing and gaming tycoon Kerry Packer."
